Babies!

Guess what?
Ester had her kids!
Triplets, to be exact.

And the astounding part is:
She had triplet GIRLS!
~ ~ ~
Up to this point, Ester had kidded three times,
with a total of 8 bucks (boys) and 2 does (girls).
~ ~ ~
What a shock it was to pick each one up and say,
It's a girl!
It's another girl!
It's a girl again!

After I got over the shock of all those girls,
we started looking for BLUE eyes.
It wasn't apparant at first because the barn lights are not bright.
But we did finally see that one girl had blue eyes.
Yipee!
I finally reached a goal I have been working towards for 3 years!

So may I please introduce you to our farm's newest additions:
(From L-R)
Charisma, Cachet (blue eyes), and Cookie.

Morals Change ?

It is commonplace that what shocks one generation
is accepted quite calmly by the next.
This adaptability to change of moral standards...
is only evidence of what unsubstantial foundations
people's moral judgements are.

Tick.....Tick.....Tick.....Tick.....

It's just about time!
Kidding time.

Ester looks like she could kid any moment.
She is due January 31st.
But I wouldn't be surprised if she came a few days early.

And Angel is not far behind.
She is due the first part of February.

So I have started setting up the "Maternity Ward".
Here they can relax and take it easy.
And waddle around like ducks.

I always wonder how many kids they will have.
Ester had 4 last year.
(Two is normal. Four is extraordinary.)
Let's just hope there is no delivery drama.
We had more than our share last year.
No kidding.

School Bells

The bells are ringing and it's back to school.
After the holidays,
I'm never really ready for the kids to go back.

I still have a list of things we might do,
places we might go,
people we should see.
And I'm still not used to being a mom of college students.
"See you at Spring Break" just doesn't make me smile.
I like "see you for dinner" much better.

Game of the New Year

The funnest game of luck and bits of strategy for us this holiday
was "Killer Bunnies".
It's killer.

A little walk outside.....

Winter in Florida is wonderful.
The weather is mild and the flowers still bloom.
Come to think of it,
there really isn't a month in Florida when something doesn't bloom.

The vines are creeping.

And the sunflowers still try to grow under the bird feeder.

I have to remind myself that it's January.

Happy New Year everyone.
