Today we drove from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams.
Along the way we got hungry and stopped at the Roadrunner Restaurant.
They had a clever pulley system for their front door.
(Notice the rock on the left.)
There are certainly enough rocks in Arizona to choose from.
Also of note, was the mountains we traveled up and down on the way here.
There was one point when a highway sign warned that we should turn off
our air conditioning for the next few miles to avoid overheating our engine.
We didn't think much of it - and then reconsidered when our rental car
started getting hot!

got us excited for our trip tomorrow on the train.
The Grand Canyon is next!
