Fair Time

Well.  It's fair time.
And this year Sarah will be showing for the first time.
The bad news is that my camera is basically broken.
What I mean by "basically broken",
is that the lens doesn't stay attached to the camera.
So in order to take a picture,
I have to perform some difficult hand gymnastics.
But I did manage to take a few.

First up was the ADGA Youth Show.
Ranae showed America who was in full milk
having just delivered quads in February.
(These pictures are from the next day at the ADGA show.)

 America did very well
and was the Nigerian Dwarf Grand Champion
at the Youth Show the night before these pictures were taken.
At the ADGA show she did not place.
There were some beautiful animals there
from around the state of Florida.

Words To Live By

Our culture has accepted two huge lies.
The first is that if you disagree with someone's lifestyle,
you must fear or hate them.
The second is that to love someone means
you agree with everything they believe or do.
Both are nonsense.
You don't have to compromise convictions
to be compassionate.

Guess How Many

It seems America's delivery goes in the "rare" category.
She delivered four kids on President's Day.
That's right.
Quadruplets.

From left to right:
Eli (buckling), Echo (doe), Encore (doe), and Eisenhower (buckling)

Tea with Fifi

The girls and I had a wonderful tea with Fifi.
(We have been trying to schedule this since October.)

With the girls in different school systems
we were lucky to find one Monday when neither of them had school.

What a lovely, girly time we had.

Any Day Now

America is due any day now.
We have been wondering how many kids she will have.
Last year she had triplets.
1-3 kids is normal for goats.
They can have 4-6, but its rare.

However many it is.....it won't be long.
From this view, she looks ready!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sarah made a box for her valentines.

A box that looked like a house
and had a slot for valentine cards.

And she decorated every side.
Even the back.

This girl Loves (with a capitol L)
to make things.
So it was the perfect project
for the day of love.

Don't forget to give your love.
Today and every day.

Rainbows in Winter

Winter is so nice in Florida.
The sun shines, the bugs are easy to ignore,
and the breeze is warm.

In fact, it's so relaxing,
that if you draw a circle around your cat,
she won't even try to leave.

Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, "Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark, it is for every beast of the earth.  I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth."  And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:  I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth."

Genesis 9:8-13

P.S.  Russel Crowe as Noah?
That may not be the image I have had of Noah all my life.....
but it could work:-)
